Intro to Body Checking 2013

Conacher Hockey – Introduction to Body Checking

Confidence. Contact. Control.

Program Overview

The Conacher Hockey Introduction to Body Checking program is designed to safely and confidently prepare players for the physical side of the game.

This program focuses on teaching proper body checking techniques, angling, positioning, and contact awareness in a controlled and supportive environment. Our goal is to help players understand how and when to engage physically — while prioritizing safety, respect, and confidence.

By building a strong foundation, players will be better prepared to transition into full-contact hockey with reduced risk of injury and increased on-ice confidence.

What Players Will Learn
